Mary meeting her son carrying the cross to Calvary is our inspiration in the medical apostolate. We look at the sick people who come to us with sympathy and try to make them feel that they are cared for.
Sickness among the poor in India is the result of poverty, mal-nutrition, ignorance and inadequacy of the government in providing the basic necessities of life to our people. Because of this, the poor in India are Therefore besides healing our health government necessarily includes training the people for the following.
to prevent diseases, discovering the root cause.
to create a hygienic and healthy environment with a sense of responsibility.
to fight for their basic
right of good health.
Though we care for sick people in general our main orientation is towards women and children.
We were engaged in medical ministry in Midnapur, Orissa, but faced challenges due to government regulations, which have currently halted our activities in this area. As a result, we are no longer involved in medical ministry at this time.
